Good news, folks — your cable subscription just paid for itself. Tune your rabbit ears in this weekend to see Lt. Dan. No, I don’t mean Forrest Gump is on. FNC airs their Gary Sinise in Iraq special tomorrow night. Twice.

Also coming to a tube near you is the Crystal Darkness documentary airing on Tuesday at 6:30pm. Their site does not specify a channel, but does say that it will air on “many channels.” If you don’t live in Oklahoma, the entire documentary is available on You Tube. Here is a song recorded for the film:
I once met a woman who said that her church took donations for children from meth houses. I’d never heard of that kind of outreach, so she explained to me that once a meth house is found, everything in it has absorbed the toxic poison from the drugs, so it all has to be burned. She had been on site once and seen children who had lived through the nightmare of living there having their clothes and toys taken away from them to be destroyed. It was her church’s way of trying to bring a little light back into the children’s devastated lives. The Crystal Darkness campaign seems to be trying to bring our communities together, not just to deal with effects like this after the fact but to help us prevent it altogether. I hope you can tune in, both to the documentary and to the campaign.
Your local law enforcement organizations and medical professionals (like ambulance drivers) may be able to offer additional insight into how your organization can make a difference.
