Sarah Style; BONUS Blogger Makeovers!
We followed Michelle O. on her quest to make the masses believe that she is the next Jackie O. Therefore it is only right and fair that we should devote even more time and effort to the style of our much-preferred VP candidate.
Her style is one of the things that I love most about Sarah Palin:
I love it that she wears glasses. Anyone out there brave enough to call her four eyes? I think not.
I love it that she wears her hair long and up. Short hair is so overrated…but what can you possibly have time to do with long hair when you’re a working mom? You tease and toss it up, of course (teasing optional). Can you imagine Hillary Clinton with this hair style?? Hillary would molt before she would ever 1) wear her hair up in a style so obviously reflective of the repressed female masses or 2) grow her hair long enough to do so.
I love her taste in shoes. Perfect for kicking liberal anthills with.
I love her professional but personal campaign gear. Palin is proof that you don’t have to wear a pantsuit to get to the White House.
I love it that when she is out working in the field or just “relaxing with the family” she’s got useful clothing on instead of something orchestrated for the People Mag photogs.
But most of all, as my mama would say, “beauty comes from the qualities within.” I love that Sarah Palin stands up for the rights of the unborn, for economic policies that work for little people like me, that she loves her husband and family, that she practices what she preaches, and that she is not afraid of how big the bullies are on the playground. Let the “big” people laugh that she believes God. I’m not laughing. Clothing herself with, as Colossians 3:12 says, “compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience,” is what our nation and our world need most of all. McCain thinks he is going to take her to Washington — I hope she takes Washington back to the people and what is really important at heart.
BONUS: We bloggers here at KtA (plus Miss Wisabus) decided that we would show our solidarity with Sister Sarah by treating ourselves to the Palin makeover. We may not be beauty queens in real life, but imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Enjoy:
c-biz couldn’t find the famous red heels, but these adorable shoes are definitely Palin-approved, no?
Miss Wisabus calls this, “Taking care of business in the backyard.”
Mt. McKinley in the background…stepping away from the family camping trip for a quick interview…my motto: speak softly and always bring Backup the Bulldog.
Even though he ultimately decided it would be wrong to do his own Sarah Palin makeover, jedijson still wanted to show his support by getting a First Dude makeover.
UPDATE: Post your own Sarah Palin makeover in the comments below (upload into Flickr to get html code).

This could be the first time I’ve ever cursed my 20/20 vision. I want some Palin glasses!

That’s the best thing about glasses — you don’t have to have bad vision to get them (though it’s not quite as wonderful in reverse!).
